After hitting all-time highs in 2023, fish oil prices will continue to remain high!

The global fish oil market has had a tumultuous year, with Peru, the world's largest producer, canceling its first anchovy fishing season earlier this year, leading to a global supply shortage and soaring prices. Prices, which have been climbing steadily in recent months, are finally stabilizing.
Christian Meinich, managing director of Norwegian company Holtermann, told last week's IFFO annual meeting in Cape Town, South Africa, that large quantities of mackerel in Scandinavia and Iceland were used for fishmeal and fish oil, which provided a balancing act. Despite the temporary equilibrium, the future of fish oil prices remains uncertain.
There are currently no official offers for Peruvian fishmeal and fish oil, as exports will begin one month after fishing begins due to safety precautions related to the flammability of anchovy meal.
