Flucloxacillin sodium is a narrow-spectrum penicillin antibiotic similar to cloxacillin.
Resistant to β-lactamases, it targets gram-positive organisms such as Staphylococcus aureus.
It can causes cholestatic liver damage.

Flucloxacillin sodium, is a sodium salt form of flucloxacillin, a beta-lactam antibiotic that belongs to the penicillinase-resistant group of penicillins.
This compound is known for its ability to resist degradation by staphylococcal penicillinase enzymes,
which are commonly involved in antibiotic resistance.
The principal mechanism of action of Flucloxacillin sodium involves the inhibition of bacterial cell wall synthesis.
It achieves this by binding to penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs) located on the inner membrane of the bacterial cell wall.
