Fusidic acid

Fusidic acid is a steroidal antibacterial agent. Fusidic acid inhibits bacterial protein synthesis to suppress

bacterial reproduction. Fusidic acid is active against gram‑positive bacteria, especially staphylococci.

Fusidic acid is widely used for topical bacterial skin infections, showing stable antibacterial performance

and low drug‑resistant risk for common skin pathogens. It can penetrate infected skin tissues effectively,

exerting bacteriostatic or bactericidal effects, and works well even against some antibiotic‑resistant staphylococcus strains.
