Finasteride
Finasteride is a 5α-reductase inhibitor with the chemical structure N-(1,1-dimethylethyl)-3-oxo-4-aza-5α-androst-1-ene-17β-carboxamide. It is a white crystalline powder, soluble in methanol, ethanol, ethyl acetate and methylene chloride, and almost insoluble in water.

1. Male pattern hair loss treatment: Finasteride is widely used to treat male pattern hair loss (male pattern baldness). It can slow down the process of hair loss, promote hair growth, and improve hair loss symptoms.
