Cefquinome sulfate is a fourth-generation cephalosporin antibiotic for veterinary use, with the following efficacy characteristics:
Broad-spectrum and highly effective bactericidal action: exhibits potent killing effects against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, with a wide antibacterial spectrum.
Strong enzyme resistance: Its stable chemical structure effectively resists various β-lactamases produced by bacteria. This is a key advantage as a fourth-generation product, meaning it remains effective against many drug-resistant strains (especially those resistant to early-generation cephalosporins).
Rapid onset: After intravenous administration, it is quickly absorbed and reaches an effective therapeutic concentration at the infection site promptly.
Mechanism of Action: By irreversibly binding to key proteins (penicillin-binding proteins, PBPs) on the bacterial cell wall, it inhibits cell wall synthesis, leading to bacterial swelling, rupture, and death.Cefquinom Sulfate

Main application (animal use)
This product is specifically designed to treat bacterial infections in animals and is strictly prohibited for use in humans. The main target animals are as follows:
1. Cows
Primary indication: Clinical mastitis
Used to treat breast infections caused by sensitive bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Streptococcus, etc. This is its primary use on a global scale.
2. Pigs
Respiratory diseases: used for the treatment and prevention of bacterial respiratory infections caused by Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, Pasteurella multocida, Haemophilus parasuis, etc. (such as infectious pleuropneumonia).
Other infections: can also be used to treat arthritis, dermatitis, and endometritis caused by sensitive bacteria.
