Carboprost Tromethamine is a synthetic prostaglandin F2α (PGF2α) analogue,
Carboprost Tromethamine causes smooth muscle contraction by binding to the prostaglandin receptor, particularly in the smooth muscle
of the uterus. This contractile effect can promote uterine contractions, help expel the fetus or placenta, and also plays an important role in controlling bleeding.

AnInduction of labor: Carboprost Tromethamine can be used to facilitate induction of labor in the third trimester of pregnancy, especially if termination of pregnancy is required.
Control of postpartum bleeding: After delivery, Carboprost can help control bleeding due to insufficient uterine contractions, reducing the risk of postpartum bleeding.
Treatment of certain types of miscarriage: In some cases, Carboprost can also be used to treat an incomplete miscarriage to promote the clearing of the uterus.
Other Uses: In some clinical studies, Carboprost is also being explored for other applications, such as the treatment of certain types of stomach ulcers.
